April Fools' Day

Yep, it’s that time of year again and nope… I don’t have any jokes. Then again, it’s hard to top the current state of the world, which itself feels like an overly indulgent and drawn-out April Fools joke with no end in sight.

The day is still young, but so far, the closest I’ve gotten to come outright fooled is the announcement of a Neil Young and Pearl Jam tour for next year… unless that’s actually happening, and April Fools’ Day just happened to be the best day to announce it. Probably not, but hey, it is believable enough to be potentially true and that makes for a good April Fools’ joke to me. Still, it doesn’t quite beat last year’s announcement that Radiohead would be playing the Mandela Hall on February 30th. That one was a clinker, but so insanely obvious when you think even critically about it. I can’t fucking believe I fell for that one.

On a more… non-foolish note, I’m hoping to have a “blournal” entry about my time in Prague sooner or later, and I’m also gonna be heading to the cinema later today to see Novocaine. Looks like it could be a lot of fun. Maybe next week, I might go and see Flow.

Watch this space.
