No more monkeying around

Lately, life’s been pretty quiet and uneventful, but I did see The Monkey last Friday, and I thought it was an absolute blast. I haven’t read the original Stephen King short story and I still need to watch director Osgood Perkins’ previous film, Longlegs, but I had so much fun with this movie. It’s a gleefully absurd but surprisingly existential tale about death, so naturally, there's plenty of outrageously gory kills. I guarantee this movie will make for a great Kill Count episode once the Dead Meat crew get around to covering it.

Definitely recommended if you're a fan of OTT, gore-laden horror-comedies.
