Sunday night
I’m sitting in Lavery’s right now doing what I usually do on a Sunday night: taking stock and plotting a course of action for the week ahead.
I think the guitar would be a good place to start. I haven’t touched the bloody thing for months and part of my excuse for that is because I broke one of the strings. I’ll need to look about replacing said string and getting a cable for my amp, which has mostly been collecting dust.
Poor thing.
I'd like to try my luck with playing bass somewhere down the line but not before I’m, at the very least, competent on the guitar. All the more reason for me to keep practicing.
The weather's also been surprisingly decent as of late, and that’s set to continue for the rest of the week, so exercise and fresh air are a must.
I also hope to see Mickey17, the latest film from Bong Joon-Ho, now that it’s out in cinemas. I’m really looking forward to seeing it and if any of his movies are on streaming, I might give them a watch… especially if they're films that I’ve not seen before like Snowpiercer.
Honestly, I've got an ever-expanding backlog of movies, books, games, albums and shows that I want to watch, read, play and listen to, and I’ve also been contemplating the idea of adding this backlog to the website as a checklist of sorts, but I’m not sure how I would implement it.
While I’m at it, I’m hoping to do a little more tinkering with the website. I’m happy with how it’s turned out, don’t get me wrong, but there’s always room for improvement, so… watch this space.
I’m also gonna be writing a “blournal” entry about the podcast that I’ve been prattling on about for months. That’ll hopefully be ready tomorrow if I’m able to articulate myself but I'm not making any promises.
Take care.
