A little after midnight

OK. It’s a little after midnight and yes, I never quite figured out whether it’s still tonight or tomorrow morning so bear with me.

I came back from the quiz a couple of hours ago. There was a smaller turnout this evening, which might be a result of the warm weather, but it was a fun night nevertheless. We ended up coming in second, which was a little disappointing after we had such a commanding lead in the early rounds, but I’m not too phased by it. I’m not sure what exactly changed in me because it wasn’t too long where I would’ve felt frustrated over losing a quiz… not overly frustrated, mind, but definitely frustrated to the point where I was often annoyed specifically at myself for not coming out on top. And yeah, getting questions wrong is no fun at all, especially when you know the answer but it’s too late and you’ve already selected the wrong one, but ninety-nine percent of the time, the midweek quiz is great craic and it’s a fun break from the rest of the week.

I’m a little tired right now so I should probably be heading to bed very shortly, but I’m currently pondering what I’m going to do when I get up. I know I’d like to get some more work down with this website, as there’s still a few finicky things that I’m struggling to wrap my head around. I’ll need to do some more research on coding and CSS. I probably won’t ever become a master at building websites, but it’s something that could potentially come in handy somewhere down the line.
