Midweek
The weather’s been extra good lately, and that’s why I’m currently sitting out in the patio, listening to the birds tweeting and singing.
I should probably be out cycling, but I’m adding some extra touches to the website. I managed to finally compile a gallery of all the sunset photos I’ve taken dating all the way back to 2017. I’m still trying to figure out how else I can classify my photography, which might cause some delays as to when there’ll be photos posted to the site, but this is a step in the right direction. I’ve also made some little adjustments here and there to the website, such as adding this new textured background, which I created using PhotoShop, which I think should overall improve the aesthetic of the website, especially with the presentation of the “blournal”.
Also, because I’m on a bit of a Deftones kick at the moment, I find myself gravitating towards heavy music with an ethereal vibe to it, so I’m listening to Loathe’s most recent, I Let It in And It Took Everything. My first impressions do lean towards the positive, although I might want to give the albums a few more spins before I have a clear opinion on it. I love music, but it usually takes me a few listens to really get into an album if that makes sense. One-time listens just don’t cut it for me, personally. That might just be a me thing, though.
Once I’ve finished listening to the album, I’ll probably do a quick cycle around the parish and start getting myself ready for the midweek quiz. My team’s currently joint-first on the leaderboard, but at this point, I’m not really fussed about winning the league. It’s a nice ego boost and you get free drink when you win , but I’ve already won the league twice in a row so I think I’ve proven myself. Besides, it’s all just a bit of craic at the end of the day.
